Whos the prettiest of them all?

The Garden and Pet Show plus Christmas Bazaar hosted by the Cactus and Succulent Society of the Philippines last November 10 to 20 was a success. The opening, the various exhibits and the plant competition all went without a hitch. The various daily lectures were all very well attended. Many collectors and aficionados graced the 10-day event. And sales were generally good for our commercial stallholders.
One of the major highlights was the cacti and succulent competition. This years competition was very well represented by the wards of the Cactus and Succulent Society membership. Over 100 entries competed for the coveted trophies and ribbons.
The judges were of Dr. Nena Evidente (whose husband was one of the co-founders of our society 28 years ago), Maricel Leones and myself. Needless to say, the judging for this years event was quite difficult with so many excellent specimens on display. But we eventually managed this difficult task and here are the results:
