The drink of heroes
July 8, 2006 | 12:00am
Nothing connotes Old-World romance, chivalry, and adventure quite like brandy. Considered one of the finest and most-enjoyed brandies is Spains Fundador from Jerez. The House of Fundador recently introduced to the Philippines the Fundador Exclusivo Solera Gran Reserva, its most distinguished line, with a grand party at the Ayala Museum in Makati. Purple was the color of the evening as the venue was draped in the royal color, signifying the distinctiveness and exclusivity of the brand. The father of Fundador Exclusivo, Don Beltran Domecq himself, flew in from Spain to lend his presence to the well-attended affair. With Spanish music playing in the background, the statuesque Fundador Exclusivo models came down from the stage and served the smooth, fine brandy to guests. Then Don Beltran Domecq was joined by VIP guest, Presidential Spokesperson Ignacio Bunye, and your columnist, the evenings master of ceremonies, for a toast to success! Congratulations for the successful launch of Fundador Exclusivo, the drink of heroes!
