Wedding of the Century

Century Park Hotel’s PR manager Steve Naguiat welcomed guests to the hotel’s grand ballroom for a very special event. No, he did not entertain them as is customary of a PR manager’s duties. This time, he was the star of a unique event: his own wedding. Stephen Laurence Naguiat and sweetheart Marcela Erlinda Marlyn Alonte exchanged their "I dos" in an elegant yet simple wedding ceremony at Santuario de San Antonio in Forbes Park Makati.

Radiant bride Len, the number one councilor in Biñan, Laguna, was escorted down the aisle by her father, former Biñan mayor Arthur Alonte. She wore a beaded white bustier gown with matching sheer shawl. Steve, the picture of a very charming groom, wore a classic barong tagalog. The reception followed at the Century Park grand ballroom where guests and VIPs dined, danced and celebrated the union of the cute couple. Among the delicious food prepared by talented chefs of the hotel were symphony of Scottish salmon and crab stick on crispy greens with capers and balsamic vinaigrette and fillet mignon of beef infused in herb croute with port wine sauce.

Among those who attended the joyous event were Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary Joey Lina, Century Park Hotel president Julio Tan, former Century Park GM Bobby Carpio and wife Maryann, Asian Hospital’s Dr. Jorge Garcia and singer Calvin Millado.
