Dixie night in a hardware store

What a rare occurrence to have a "jazz" party in a hardware store! Defying norms in party hosting, Federal Hardware, together with Eurotiles, one of the country’s leading ceramic tiles and accessories manufacturers, hosted an all-American party dubbed "Dixie Night" at Federal Hardware Makati.

Located along the busy Don Chino Roces Avenue, the hardware store instantly became the meeting place for the company’s friends, business partners, leading architects, and participants of WoldBex.

Following the theme for the event, the store was spruced up to achieve a country fair experience. Red, white and blue banners and fair buntings adorned the already visually stimulating vast store area while pretty usherettes in traditional American costumes and clowns on stilts welcomed guests. And if that’s not enough, game booths had been set up to provide fun games such as golf putting and burst the balloon where Federal hardware goodies were at stake. Free enrollment to the SmartCard, Federal Hardware’s own privilege card was made available for the guests that night at the SmartCard booth.

The night’s main highlight was the formal launching of Eurotiles’ two new tile supplements – dubbed Power Partners, and Eurotiles Superior Tile Grout and Tile Adhesives.

Dixie chick Patricia Shaan Bermudez hosted the party with a country accent infectious enough to make the people yodel their hearts out in addition to joining the fun-filled contests which the guests gamely participated in. Lucky guests went home with raffle prizes from Eurotiles, HVG, Royal Tern and Federal Hardware. Topnotch entertainment was provided by Johnny Alegre/Affinity Bang that performed classic jazz tunes one after another to set the festive mood.

Among the who’s who in the construction world at the launch were PIA national president and architect Andy Villarin, Juanito Rosales of Ayala Land Inc., HCG chairman Roger Chiu, Chiming Lopez of CN Lopez Design, Mañosa and Associates architect Nonoy Mesina, UAP Maharlika chapter president and architect Romy de Jesus and architect Villarosa.

Federal hardware Makati is currently in the works of expanding their flagship store to make way for the Federal Design Expo, which will feature furniture and home accessories to complete the needs of anyone who is into the building or renovation of their homes, thus making federal Hardware the premier site for hardware shopping.
