The premier business and social club, Tower Club recently hosted Cathay Pacifics Marco Polo annual High Flyers Recognition Dinner at the Murano Room.
Elite members of the Marco Polo and executives of Cathay Pacific, led by their debonair country manager Adrian Harley, attended the recognition dinner.
At the end of the dinner, Harley cited Cathay Pacifics most faithful patrons for 2001. Corazon Tocao, a member since 1999, received the award for the member with the most number of traveled sectors. Stanley Lao, a Diamond Card member like Tocao, chalked up the biggest number of flown miles.
Mely Hechanova and her daughter Renna Hechanova-Angeles recently hosted a despedida party for Melys good friend, San-Francisco-based Tessie Olasolo, who briefly visited Manila. Held at Melys plush home in North Forbes Park, the affair was an intimate gathering of close friends and family.
Some of those who bid Tessie bon voyage were Rafael Hechanova, Bobbie and Marianne Krohn, Tere Litton, Narsing Mabanta, Bert and Tita Macasaet, Consul Puno Peña, Marixi Prieto, Nene Quimson, Boling and Vic Reyes, George and Ana Litton, Renny Romero, Mike Salazar and Pocholo Romero Sales.
The celebration was very relaxed and convivial, a revival of decades-old friendship and a fitting highlight to Tessies eventful, albeit brief, return to Manila.
