Toyota introduces top-of-the-line Avanza Veloz

MANILA, Philippines — It’s already one of the top-selling seven-seat MPV’s — and easily one of the pioneers in this suddenly burgeoning segment — but Toyota’s not done with the Avanza just yet.  

This month, Toyota announced the introduction of its newest variant in the Avanza lineup, the Avanza Veloz. Over the years, the success of the Avanza in the Philippines has grown, selling over a whopping 80,000 units since its launch in 2006.

Showcasing an image of functionality and versatility, the Avanza continues to be a leader in the compact MPV segment. It’s a vehicle that lends itself well to both family or business use. Presenting a tougher and more upscale appearance on the road, the new Veloz variant adds spice to the Avanza lineup.

Adapting the robust design of its co-variants, the Veloz projects an image of comfort while distinctively having a sporty look. Up front, one immediately notices the new model’s sharp, compelling design as expressed by the bold aero grille, smoked chrome lamp garnish and back handle, and last but not least, the sporty bumper with an aggressive, large black mesh air intake.

Inside, the top-of-the-line Veloz shows off a stylish black interior in high-grade fabric (with contrasting gray printed accents on the set centers), creating a balance of sophistication and modern style. Luxury touches include chrome inner door handles, leather shift knob, fabric-lined door trim, silver-accented steering wheel with audio controls and plated aircon vents. In addition, its 2-DIN touchscreen display audio now promotes a user-friendly interface with a new navigation system helping the driver get around the city with ease.

The Avanza Veloz comes in four striking colors: Black Metallic, Silver Metallic, White and its newest addition to the color lineup, the Red Mica Metallic, which conveys a vibrant appearance and a more youthful look.

Retailing at P1,025,000, the Avanza Veloz presents a promising vehicle for every family, business or anything in between. In addition, the Avanza lineup is consistent in its strong standing as it continues to offer its five value-packed variants composed of the Avanza 1.5G A/T priced at P958,000, the 1.5G M/T at P915,000, the midrange 1.3E A/T at P839,000 and the 1.3E M/T at P796,000, and the entry-level Avanza 1.3J M/T at P707,000.
