Michelle Obama reveals her Christmas present to Barack Obama
MANILA, Philippines - Michelle Obama has spilled the beans on her Christmas gift for United States President Barack Obama at the Children's National Health System's holiday event held on Monday.
"All right press, don't tell him," the first lady quips when asked about what she would give to the most powerful man in America.
For the past years, Michelle has been vocal about her advocacy in promoting health and fitness and even pioneered a campaign aimed to combat childhood obesity in 2010. This is why it is not surprising that she would give his husband "some workout stuff" for the holidays.
"He's going to get some workout stuff. It's not going to be very interesting this year, honey. Sorry," she shared.
Hoping to get gift recommendation, the 51-year-old even asked a patient sitting beside her, to which the kid responded, "Ties."
In addition, she also revealed that her daughters are asking for cash and mac and cheese as presents.
As part of her holiday tradition, the First Lady read Christmas books to the sick kids at the children's hospital. She was accompanied by family dogs, Bo and Sunny, to add more cheer to and put smiles on a room full of sick children.
