Christmas surprises for the whole family at Lancaster New City
MANILA, Philippines – Are you looking for a new “pasyalan” for the whole family to enjoy this Christmas season? Well, there’s one down south and it’s ready to give out surprises for every family this year.
Lancaster New City, the family-friendly community in Cavite, is on its second year of celebrating Christmas in a special way through its family-oriented events and activities. Here are some of the exciting things to look out for:
1. The signature Santa’s Workshop light show
An area at Lancaster New City will be adorned with Santa’s Workshop display and fascinating lights which will dance to various Christmas songs. The lightshow will open on November 26 and will continue to amaze on December 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, 18, 24, 25, and 26 from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
2. Stunning pyromusical show and firework displays
More colorful lights will wow visitors as they paint the sky with a pyromusical show at the opening night of Santa’s Workshop lightshow on November 26 at 7 p.m.
There will also be firework displays on December 24 and 29.
3. Cool and cozy open air cinema
Enjoy the cool breeze of Christmas and sit outdoors with the family as you watch Cinema One and Star Cinema movies for free.
The open air cinema will happen on December 3 and starts at 4 p.m. There will also be some games, a musical performance and food trucks during the film showing activity.
4. Solemn Simbang Gabi
For many Filipino families, Christmas won’t be complete without the Simbang Gabi. At Lancaster New City, the night masses will start December 15 at 7 p.m. at the Church of the Holy Family which is located right at the heart of the development.
Along these festivities are other fun events such as Christmas bazaar and 12 Days to Christmas Countdown.
Last year, around 600 kids got Christmas presents from Lancaster New City during Santa’s Workshop light show. There were also banchetto or food market, giant Christmas tree display and Belen-making contest.
