Stance and NBA: An on-court romance

Basketball is one of the world’s most popular sports, and the National Basketball Association (NBA) is the most popular basketball league! And that is why more and more brands are doing the smart thing -- looking for ways to get their brands associated with the league and their players, who are recognized all over the globe.

Just the other week, Stance socks and the NBA announced a multi-year partnership that will make the popular sock brand the league’s official on-court sock provider starting this season.  As part of the partnership, the Stance logo will appear on all on-court designs – a first for the league!

It’s an unbelievable honor for Stance to become the league’s official on-court sock, and we look forward to unveiling the entire lineup to NBA fans,” said Clarke Miyasaki, EVP of business development at Stance.

 Stance also announced the addition of Golden State Warriors All-Star Klay Thompson to its roster of brand ambassadors.  Thompson was a vital cog in the drive to the title by the Bay Area team. He joins three-time NBA champion and Miami Heat guard Dwayne Wade, Detroit Pistons center Andre Drummond, and Dallas Mavericks forward Chandler Parsons. 

“We are thrilled to extend our existing relationship with Stance, a marketplace leader in the sock and fashion industry, to the court. They have had remarkable success through their commitment to innovative product design and performance technology, making it an ideal partner for the NBA,” said NBA Vice President for licensing Lisa Piken Koper.

The Stance Fusion Basketball collection is engineered to provide optimal cushion and breathability. The collection offers the perfect blend of moisture management, cushion, support, traction control and compression where you need it. The traditional crew silhouette debuted at the 2015 NBA Draft Combine and was worn by all players at the Samsung NBA Summer League last July. Stance will create team-specific designs as well as unique, limited-edition styles for marquee events and holiday games, including Hoops for Troops, Christmas Day, and NBA All-Star.

There was also a local launch at the SM Mega Fashion Hall, where participants experienced a whole day of fun activities.
