Even traffic enforcers need immunity

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The Highway Patrol Group (HPG) is earning a lot of goodwill for the Philippine National Police because of their adept handling of traffic along EDSA. Social media is abuzz with glowing comments about how HPG was able to ease the burden of motorists and daily commuters..

Tommanny Tan, president and chief executive officer of Fern Inc., said that the PNP-HPG has proven its mettle in improving traffic congestion along EDSA but are prone to health hazards

“They are doing a great job in EDSA. But they’re not Superman. They, too, get sick when their body resistance is low,” explained Tan as he turned over 3,500 vitamin C boxes of Fern-C to HPG Director/Chief superintendent Arnold Gunnacao at a ceremony held recently at Camp Crame, QC.

The HPG’s stressful workload of declogging the traffic jam under the harmful elements on the road and the changing weather propelled some companies to donate water jugs, sunblock lotions, soaps and shirts.

Fern Inc. donated Fern-C premium vitamin C to give the public servants added immunity and increased resistance as they go about their daily work of  alleviating traffic in this densely populated metropolis of 12 million people.

Tan said that their company is grateful for HPG’s efforts to improve the travel time and for enforcing discipline among drivers and commuters, “They did an excellent job in helping improve the traffic situation in the Metro.”

Fern-C, a premium non-acidic vitamin C brand, is available in leading drugstores, convenience stores and groceries nationwide.
