Hospital brings healthcare services to your mobile phone

Alixandra Caole Vila - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines – Digitizing healthcare services is as important as digitizing restaurant reservations, cinema viewing and shopping.

With the aim to provide the public with an easier access to healthcare services, St. Luke's Medical Center launched its first mobile application, the St.Luke's MedConnect.

The app is the first and fully functional application for the healthcare industry to bring the hospital's world-class services closer to the public anytime, anywhere. It includes features such as requesting for a doctor's appointment, accessing one's laboratory results, reserving a room, paying hospital bills online, scheduling executive checkups, and reading about essential information such as health tips and information about various diseases.

Accessing the app is absolutely free when you have a stable Wi-Fi connection while data charges may apply depending on the standard rates of different network carriers. However, you can still access the Emergency Care Services when you're offline.

To download the app, go to the Apple Appstore or Google Playstore and type in St. Luke's Medical Center and follow the installation instructions.
