Aaron Colton shows off his motorcycle stunts
Filipinos were treated to some of the most exciting stunts ever seen on the streets of the metropolis when multiple-time US Freestyle Champion Aaron Colton showcased his talents with his daring motorcycle stunts.
Colton is known as the child prodigy of Sportbike Freestyle, starting very young with a 50cc motorcycle when he was just two years old, and eventually turning pro at 13. He won his first XDL Stunt Riding Championship at 15. He has also joined different prestigious competitions like the AMA Pro Road Racing, AMA Pro Flat Track, Street Freestyle, and MotoGP. Aaron currently competes in two international tours, five US competitions, and 30 events every year.
So his visit was definitely a bonus for the motorcycling community!
Colton was in various locations last week, visiting Eastwood, Capitol Commons, A-Venue, and Fort Strip/ Bonifacio High Street in his short trip from May 13 to 16.
This was actually the first time that the local scene witnessed Sportbike Freestyle and the crowd was blown away by Colton’s stunts!
“The Philippines is a great country to share my riding. I particularly liked getting in touch with the motorcycle community and helping expand my sport. That was exciting not just for me but my sport as a whole!†Colton said.
He is not planning to join any competitions in the near future, as he is scheduled to travel and ride in as many different places as possible. The youngster visited Bolivia, Panama, Colombia, Dominican Republic, and Costa Rica in the last two years.
“I do not only encourage freestyle riding! I love all types of motorcycle riding! Buzz and excitement of my riding will hopefully encourage all others!†he added.
Colton entertained the crowd with his 2 KTM 690 Duke, the first in the USA, and the latest generation of its type. His streetbike freestyle consisted mainly of Wheeleis, Endos, Burnouts, Drifting, and Acrobatics.
“It’s the open expression of being able to do anything that you had ever dreamed of controlling on the bike,†he added.
He left the locals wanting so much more that they are hoping he finds time to swing by the country again.
“I will meet so many amazing people! My favorite thing about touring is the great people I get to meet and places that I get to stay. I am so incredibly thankful to be able to do what I do for a living but without amazing people it would be very difficult!†Colton concluded.
