A wealth of health tips on how to kill cancer
The mere thought of it can send chills down your spine. You certainly don’t want to get it or any of your loved ones. Of course, I’m talking about the Big C. But now comes a refreshing whiff of hope: “You can kill cancer before it starts,†says Dr. Miguel Flores, a chiropractor of the Upper Cervical Chiropractor Manila.
What’s a chiropractor?
A chiropractor is a health care professional who diagnoses and treats neuromuscular disorders through the manual adjustment and/or manipulation of the spine. But what has a chiropractor got to do with cancer? Be patient and read on.
Miguel Flores grew up with a consummate passion to help people and change the world so he wanted to be a doctor. But he did not know what kind of doctor until he was incapacitated by a sports injury. It was then that he discovered chiropractic and his life changed forever.
He discovered how the brain and spinal cord control all our bodily functions — for you to enjoy good food and good wine, or enjoy a good laugh, to hear, smell, cry, and for your immune system to fight off diseases like cancer. Just think: All information has to pass from the brain to the brain stem and spinal cord and through the nerves to every single cell, organ muscle, or tissue.
Dr. Flores zeroes in on cancer — and how you can be a cancer killer with his Don’t Get It Plan (The National Cancer Institute estimates that 580,350 men and women would die of cancer in 2013 — that means 1,500 a day).
If you visit the site of Upper Cervical Chiropractor Manila, you’ll find a wealth of health/wellness tips worth digesting. Samples:
• Maintaining physical fitness is a core component of being a cancer killer.
• Bitterness wears out the immune system. Forgive! Including yourself! It’s not always what you eat that counts, it’s also what’s eating you up inside.
• Moderate your intake of protein. Animal products are the important foods to keep organic. The average man should consume 20 grams of protein per meal and the average woman, 15 grams. Consume five to 10 more grams after exercise.
• Now here’s a mouthful: If you can’t pronounce it (or the ingredients on the food label), don’t eat it.
• Coconut oil is so good for you. It may help with weight loss because its medium-chain triglycerides are metabolized differently from other oils. And another good reason to go nuts over our coconut: It can raise good cholesterol — though it contains saturated fats, it’s not the bad kind people normally think of (or have been brainwashed by coconut detractors to think). It can strengthen the immune system. It can help absorb important minerals like calcium and magnesium.
• A good belly laugh can send 20-percent more blood flowing through your entire body. One study found that when people watched a funny movie, their blood flow increased. So, laugh your way to good health.
• Drinking water on an empty stomach purifies the colon, making it easier to absorb nutrients.
• Drinking water helps with weight loss. Drinking at least 16 ounces of chilled water can boost your metabolism by 24 percent in the morning.
• High heels may be fashionable but aren’t so good for your feet (or knees or posture …).
In the following Q & A, Dr. Miguel Flores shares more tips on how we can all be cancer killers:
What are the top anti-cancer foods?
When choosing cancer-killing foods, consider three things:
1. Is it helping your body naturally produce glutathione, which is the body’s most powerful antioxidant?
2. How much toxins are in it, if any?
3. Is it a good fat or bad fat?
Pick cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower, garlic, and onions as well as dark green, leafy vegetables like malunggay, kale, pechay, spinach.
If budget is a concern, start with getting your animal proteins from organic sources, then move to the vegetables and fruits later. Select grass-fed beef, free-range/native chicken, and wild-caught fish. This way, you will be getting the proper 2:1 ratio of Omega-6 to 3 (good fats), produce more glutathione, and avoid toxic chemicals all at the same time.
What are the top cancer-promoting foods?
• Commercialized meats, because of the toxins, improper ratio of Omega-6 to 3 (can go as high as 20:1), and their acidic nature.
• Canned meats due to the presence of nitrites.
Which are the most deadly (or most unhealthy) meats in terms of nitrite content?
All processed/canned meats contain nitrites and are toxic to the cells in your body. Examples would be hotdog, vienna sausage, corned beef, canned ham. It is always important to look at the ingredient list, as opposed to the usual nutritional facts table located at the back of the product.
How does sugar promote cancer? Does this mean that individuals who eat sugar-laden foods are cancer prone?
What were once healthy cells, cancer cells have learned to adapt to the environmental stress that they were placed under. They learned to stop using oxygen as their fuel source and switched over to utilizing sugar instead. That is why when we consume sugar, we feed the monster within.
What are the top sugar-laden foods that we should avoid or limit the use of?
Packaged foods that contain refined sugar and high-fructose corn syrup need to be avoided by everyone, regardless of whether or not they have cancer. These include cereals, cookies, cakes, and ice cream, to name a few.
The only sugar we should be consuming should come from fruits and (if possible) sprouted whole grains.
However, if a person is diagnosed with cancer, ALL forms of sugar should be avoided, including fruits and whole grains. The only fruits acceptable would be berries and green apples. Grapefruit, calamansi, and lemon can be consumed in moderation as well.
