Announcing the arrival of a one-stop travel store

Traveling is a staple in the life of a professional athlete, but even for the elite amateurs nowadays, they have to constantly fly in order to compete in international tournaments or just to train.

Now, their traveling will be a lot easier with the arrival of Flight 001!

Flight 001 (pronounced “flight one”), the world’s premier travel store, recently opened its biggest store at the East Wing of Shangri-La Plaza Mall in Mandaluyong City, as part of its aggressive rollout plan in Asia. Whether for international jetsetters or domestic commuters, Flight 001 has practical and innovative products that enable travelers to experience the world in style and comfort.

The name was inspired by Pan Am flight 1, the world’s first round-the-world flight, which made stops in Honolulu, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Calcutta, Delhi, Beirut, Istanbul, Frankfurt, London, and finally New York. 

“Flight 001 is quickly becoming a global brand, which is a vision Brad and I have had for the company from the start. And we are particularly excited and passionate about our latest expansion in the Philippines,” said John Sencion, co-founder of Flight 001.

John personally showed how useful their products were, and I even pulled him aside after his demonstration for a few extra pointers on how to maximize the use of their different merchandise. 

This one-stop travel store was conceived in 1998 aboard Air France flight 023 somewhere between New York and Paris by John Sencion and Brad John, two business travelers who had spent far too much time preparing for their trip. They envisioned a travel store as streamlined as a flight itself. 

My personal favorite among their brands of highly functional travel products is the Flight 001 Spacepak, which boasts a packing system that maximizes cabin-size luggage space by compressing the air out of two weeks’ worth of clothes.

Another very interesting item is the Go Clean pack bag collection which helps keep you organized with versatile mix-and-match bags that range from laundry to shoes, beachwear to gym gear. 

You might be intrigued to know that Flight 001 has 19 stores globally, of which 11 stores in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, and Thailand are operated under Flight 001 Asia, a partner of the Primer Group.
