Mommy-baby bonding through music

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines -  Cheska Kramer maximizes bonding time with daughter Kendra at Gymbore where children learn thinking skills through music and other lessons. Among the most popular classes for children less than one year of age are the Music classes, which the youngsters attend with their parents. In 12 sessions, each running for 45 minutes, toddlers who have not yet learned to run or even talk are exposed to a wide range of music — from Latin to African to Broadway — as they play with maracas, cage bellsm and a spectrum of other musical instruments. Physically, music supports gross motor development as well as fine motor movements, especially at Gymboree where walking, jumping, and other movements are part of the learning approach.
