Ring in a new you

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - After all that holiday binging, ring in a new you with CryoCurve by SexyCurves Slimming and Aesthetic Centre. CryoCurve is a non-invasive procedure for inducing lipolysis — breaking down of fat cells. The procedure was discovered by dermatologists Dieter Manstein, MD, PhD and R. Rox Anderson, MD of the Wellman Center for Photomedicine at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School.

CryoCurve works by placing four handles with cooling pad to your tummy or any target area that you want to sculpt, but prior to this, a cooling lubricant is rubbed on the areas where the pads will be placed. According to Dr. Lilibeth de Villa, this is done to prevent frostbites. “The machine has sensors, which monitor your skin’s temperature, so the procedure is consistently and uniformly performed. The temperature can be controlled at any time by the professional administering it.”

The device gently contracts up the area for treatment into the pad for 25 minutes. A cavitation procedure follows to ensure fast results. Cavitation is done by massaging the target areas using a hand-held device. The whole procedure, which only lasts for 45 minutes, can take away a total of one to six centimeters from the tummy.
