Miss Earth beauties show love for Mother Earth
MANILA, Philippines - The SM Food Group, together with SMDC, brought the Miss Earth 2012 contestants to SM Mall of Asia, SM North EDSA, and SM Megamall. The girls walked around the SM Food Group stores sharing their advocacies, spreading environmental awareness, and promoting the use of SM Greenbags as part of the SM Food Group’s initiative to encourage more shoppers to Join the MOB (MyOwnBag) campaign.
The Miss Earth beauties, together with the children of Nayon ng Kabataan (NK), were awed by the tech-based wonders of the Nido Fortified Science Discovery Center. Aside from the knowledge that the Science Discovery Center imparted to the children, the delegates also shared their insights and advocacies regarding the environment and how we can help save it.
The SM Food Group invited the children to come and meet the Miss Earth candidates and share with them their advocacies regarding the ongoing problems that face our precious planet. Each student also received seedlings which they will plant in their school, special gift baskets to bring home, and unforgettable pictures taken with the international beauties for a cause. The event was also graced by representatives from Quezon City’s Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) which was instrumental in the plastic regulation ordinance of the city.
