Better healthcare services for all Antiquenõs

MANILA, Philippines - The Angel Salazar Memorial General Hospital in San Jose Buenavista, Antique now provides Antiqueños with easy access to better medical services.

It was the dream of Gov. Exequiel Javier of the provincial government of Antique to deliver easy access to efficient and effective health facilities and services to his constituents.

Back then, he said, “It would be a milestone under my leadership to provide the best healthcare services to all people, specifically indigent patients. I wish that our provincial hospital could have these services at the lowest cost possible.”

Finally, the answer came. The provincial government accepted the noble project of Himex Corporation, a private company which gives healthcare services top priority over and above earning profits.

Inspired by a desire to help Filipinos and the country, especially the medical sector, Himex Corporation, under Rema Padilla-Ohno, undertook the rehabilitation and development of the radiology departments of all government hospitals in the Philippines. This joint venture in healthcare development aimed not only to assist government hospitals in improving their radiology departments but also to rehabilitate the country’s poor healthcare services through the provision of high-technology diagnostic imaging equipment to render the best quality medical services to all Filipinos. 

Gov. Javier, together with the entire medical team, believed and supported the partnership. Today, the Angel Salazar Memorial General Hospital has renovated its radiology department and acquired brand-new and top-of-the-line Hitachi diagnostic imaging equipment such as multi-slice CT-scan, radio/fluoroscopy x-ray, and high-end ultrasound to render basic and affordable diagnostic procedures to all Antiqueños.
