Basketball and other thrills at Amaia

- The Philippine Star

Manila, Philippines -  Amaia Land Corporation, Ayala Land ’s venture into the economic segment, made it a thrilling summer for its communities nationwide. It picked three thrills to kick off its Taste of Summer event series this year  basketball, friends, and cool, comfort food.

One of the first telltale signs of summer are youngsters hanging out in the neighborhood dribbling a basketball. It’s time for the summer basketball league! Emotions run high at every competitive game. It’s a great shared activity for merriment and camaraderie, an excellent workout for burning calories, building endurance, and maintaining a healthy heart.

Among those who are into it, regardless of the season, they talk about developing discipline and training for focus, learning teamwork and strategies that can be applied in life, and achieving optimum body and mental health.

These were all experienced during Amaia’s Taste of Summer launch at Amaia Scapes Laguna. Former Ateneo and currently RP team’s shooting guard and TV host Chris Tiu led the thrilling activities, from the basketball shootout to the games played by homeowners and their friends. All appreciated even more the sport of basketball.

If basketball was the readily available surefire way to summer thrill, cool drinks and simple but scrumptious food were the guaranteed passes to summer delight. Who could resist a giant glassful of halo-halo this summer? How about those tasty street foods or crunchy snacks or the season’s watermelons or mangoes? Amaia pleased their visitors with these delightful eats during their summer events.

Amaia developments are built with amenities that residents can enjoy with their families or neighbors during summer or anytime of the year. The basketball court is one of the grounds in Amaia Scapes’ Village Patio. This community center also has a lap pool, jogging path, beautifully-landscaped garden called “The Great Lawn,” a playground, and the simple yet classy-looking Village Pavilion, a versatile open space that can be used to hold a myriad of activities, from meetings to parties and sporting events.

There’s also Amaia’s unique Patio Green, a middle garden among some clusters of houses for close-to-home frolicking of kids.

Summer may be over, but the fun doesn’t stop at Amaia, a place where there’s always a reason to celebrate and be happy.
