Bridges of hope

-

Manila, Philippines -  For those who feel that they have hit rock bottom due to some kind of addiction, there is a new innovative center called Bridges of Hope, which was precisely founded to address alcohol, drugs, gambling, sex, and other forms of addiction.

Early this year, Michelle Perez, Arturo Crespo and Enrique Vicente Zamora pulled their resources to organize a rehab with a new twist. Far from being “institutionalized,” Bridges of Hope is a shelter and a haven with a home-like atmosphere, which emphasizes the importance of the role of the family in the healing of the dependent.

Many times the members of the family refuse to recognize and accept the presence of a substance-related addiction problem in the home until it is in its advanced stages where professional help is already needed. Denial is the most popular form of coping. A program called “Stages of Change” helps to recognize that there is an addiction problem. Only when this fact is accepted by the family and the dependent himself can positive steps be taken to address the issue.

Aside from the basic comprehensive program, Bridges of Hope offers other services as Out-patient Services, Psychological and Psychiatric Evaluations, Resident/Family Healing Dialogues, and other individually-designed programs.

Bridges of Hope’s mission is to improve the quality of life of the individuals and find new ways of treatment in providing the best patient-centered community.

Bridges of Hope is in Parañaque. For inquiries, call Michelle, Art, or Envic at 986-3883, 519-2730/facility; Michelle 871-5578 or SMS Envic at 0927-3108563, 0918-9280150.
