Latest trends in sedation

MANILA, Philippines - Asian Hospital and Medical Center recently conducted the 2nd Postgraduate Course on Sedation for Diagnostic and Ambulatory Procedures, a clinical symposium aimed at providing doctors, nurses, and medical professionals with the latest trends in sedation. During the whole-day medical forum, anesthesiology experts shared their knowledge and expertise on the continuum of sedation and provided updates on practice guidelines for sedation to encourage quality patient care using anesthesiology standards and procedures. A workshop was also held for participants to test their skills on basic airway management. Photo shows Dr. Daniel Valera demonstrating to participants how to recognize and manage a difficult airway.
