And now, ready-to-drink wheatgrass

MANILA, Philippines - The country’s leading distributor of wheatgrass-based health products now brings the goodness of wheatgrass to Filipinos in a more convenient form: Wheatgrass ready-to-drink health beverage.

Company CEO Edward Ling calls their new product the “Good Drink” because it uses  100-percent natural and organic wheatgrass, free of additives like artificial flavors, preservatives or coloring. It is good for keeping consumers well- hydrated and giving them the nutrients they need to be healthy.

Easy Pha-max has also introduced its newest pair of endorsers, famous cosplay sisters Alodia and Ashley Gosiengfiao, who are admired by legions of fans and followers here and abroad. In her Facebook community page, Alodia has more than 805,000 fans.

The event was highlighted by the signing of the distributorship and brand endorsement agreements with 7-Eleven’s food section manager Louie D. Lucero and the Gosiengfiao sisters. Special guest was Ambassador of Malaysia to the Philippines Dato Seri Dr. Ibrahim Saad.

Ling said the company is confident the new health drink, which retails at P49, will post a steady growth in the coming years. Citing a 2009 study by London-based Euromonitor International on the soft drinks industry in the Philippines, he said there is growing awareness and preference among Filipinos for leading healthier lifestyles and getting more value for their money.

Similar to the company’s best-selling wheatgrass powder juice in sachets, Easy Pha-max Wheatgrass RTD is a combination of wheatgrass leaves and roots, honey and melastoma (which helps suppress inflammation and prevents ulcer).

 To increase health awareness among the youth who are in the same age group as the Gosiengfiao sisters, Easy Pha-max is running offline and online promos like the “Shake the Grass” video contest. Contestants must create videos showing how they shake and drink the RTD in the most creative way, and upload them  on the Wheatgrass C.A.N Facebook page. A brand-new Samsung Galaxy Tab will be awarded to the contestant with the most number of likes. Cash prizes will also be given away to the runner-up winners.
