Let's Dole it!

-

MANILA, Philippines - Dole Phils. Packaged Foods Division, led by product manager Heidi Zenarosa, kicked off a fruitful year with a fund-raising event organized by Paref Rosehill School: Run de Hills! A successful benefit fun run for the improvement of school facilities, infrastructures, and other learning resources, the event was graced by some 700 participants at Mission Hills, Antipolo City.

“Dole Phils. strongly believes that proper education is a valued means of communicating the benefits of living a healthy life — having a balanced diet and instilling a regular exercise discipline,” says Zenarosa.

In a marathon divided into three categories, individuals — young and adults alike — raced to finish the 3 km, 5 km, and 10 km uphill-downhill distance challenges. Runners and health enthusiasts from Marikina, Antipolo, Quezon City, San Juan, and Manila, with Dole employees, members of the Paref Rosehill Pre-school family and takbo.ph, rallied at the starting line for a friendly competition in support of a common cause for quality education.

Thomas Flack, Sime Gaspay, and Marianna Racho took the first, second, and third spots for the 3km distance category while John de Castro, Jon Santos, and Gepo de Mesa bagged the first three ranks for the 5km race. The toughest runners in the event were of the 10km division.   Jovencio Gemenza led the pack to claim the top spot, followed by Felimar Tagaruma, and Ronaldo Garcia who claimed the second and third places respectively.
