The natural way to health at HASH workshop

-

MANILA, Philippines - Reuters reported that the cholesterol-lowering drug Lipitor was expected to rake in US$1.7 billion for its 2010 sales — this despite a New York Times’ article on the hidden side effects of statins such as memory loss, difficulty concentrating, and having fuzzy thoughts. It’s a disheartening story for those who have heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and other chronic conditions. The good news is this cycle can be put to an end.

“It has been a huge success for HASH to be working with medical doctors — as partners — who help facilitate the integration of patients into a holistic state, possessing great health in body, mind, and spirit, through non-invasive processes,” says holistic advocate Jean Goulbourn.

Internist and endocrinologist, Dr. John Reyes is an obese diabetic with high cholesterol and SGPT (serum glutamic pyruvic transaminase) levels. “I seriously worried about my SGPT, this means that my liver is not in a very good condition and although drugs are curative, they have side effects. In fact, anti-cholesterol medication can further damage not only the liver but the kidneys as well.”

Today, Dr. Reyes has reached his desired weight and normalized his blood sugar, cholesterol, and SGPT levels. “It is amazing, I did it without ingesting anything synthetic. I couldn’t have done it without the support of Dr. Dale V. Flores of HASH. I wake up energized, it just feels so good!”

Businessman JP Lee was once forced to allocate P24,000 for maintenance medication — that’s an accumulated P288,000 plus doctors’ and lab fees’ annually to cover his personal healthcare expenses alone. Nowadays, he is medication-free — and has a monthly budget of only P6,000 for supplements. “My wife and I are celebrating our anniversary with a luxurious weeklong vacation abroad with a side trip to Disneyland for the kids — all from my savings in healthcare. I am very happy to have made the smart choice!”

Financial controller Rianna Lopez, a mother of two, is like any other workaholic who spends much of her time at work. At 40, she had diabetes and hypertension. ”What I value most from what I have experienced, aside from being well enough not to need prescription medication, is knowing the real meaning of balance. Now, I am happy to say that I am in control of my life, I am empowered to choose what is right for me, and my kids are the happiest with my transformation.”

How about you? Think about how much you have spent and will be spending for the rest of your life.
