Philips Avent celebrates joyful parenting
MANILA, Philippines - As many moms and dads know, parenting does not have to be all hard work and no play. Parenting is and can be a joyful experience, especially when parents have the right information in order to provide the right care for their kids.
At the recent Joyful Parenting seminar hosted by Philips Avent, the leading name in infant and childcare products, moms and dads got a big dose of useful tips and fun activity suggestions to make their jobs as parents a truly enjoyable experience. Held at The Podium mall, the event had parents and would-be parents listening to experts as they shared valuable information on various issues related to “infanticipation,” infant care, and parenting.
Dr. Mila Zaragoza-Ibay talked about common concerns during pregnancy and stressed the importance of pre- and post-natal care. Expectant parents learned about the various procedures that pregnant mothers would undergo within the nine months to ensure the health of both mom and baby, such as routine checkups and tests.
Breastfeeding, an important topic especially among moms-on-the-go, was tackled by Dr. Cristina Limchu-dela Cruz. Dr. Limchu-dela Cruz explained how moms need not forego breastfeeding just because they are working or have to be mobile; with the right attitude and tools, and proper time management, moms can provide their babies with the superior benefits of breast milk.
Parents also discovered a fun activity they can do with their little ones as Chef Mitchie Sison conducted a cooking demo with meals created to tickle moms’ and babies’ tastes.
Guests not only learned great parenting lessons but also got a chance to bring home top goodies. Two lucky audience members each won a Philips Avent ISIS manual breast pump during the raffle, while 10 other guests, who were able to successfully answer a pop quiz by the speakers, received handbooks on breastfeeding. Question and answer participants also received special gift packs from hair accessories brand Goody and top kitchen tools from Sunnex.
