Spike It Up With Enervon HP: Spike while the ion is hot

MANILA, Philippines - Two hulking men walk from the beach and into the La Carmela de Boracay poolside, visibly sweaty but not tired at all from having played volleyball under the maddening sun. We are in Boracay for the “Spike It Up With Enervon HP” beach volleyball competition. There are two volleyball courts set up in front of La Carmela and Villa de Oro, and the thrust was to attract beachcombers to a couple of rounds of spiking and serving. By the end of the day, it will have attracted local and foreign tourists in droves, with 55 teams in all. But with all the sports you could showcase in Boracay — sailing, surfing, Frisbee, what-have-you — makes you think what made the brand decide to choose volleyball.
