MANILA, Philippines - Imagine life without shoes: feel the ground beneath your feet, and the pain with each stride. Sadly, children in developing countries experience that everyday.
In a bid to raise awareness on how a pair of shoe can improve a child’s life, Toms Shoes launched the “One Day Without Shoes Movement,” an annual campaign where everyone is enjoined to go barefoot for a day.
“The campaign speaks directly to our mission: the urgent need to provide shoes for children who need them,” explains Toms Shoes founder Blake Mycoskie.
