'IT for Life' launched

-

MANILA, Philippines - LiFEDATA Systems, Inc., the company that developed the award-winning LiFEDATA EMR Clinic software, recently spearheaded a successful event that brought together the country’s top telecommunications, information, and technology companies in a campaign dubbed “IT for Life.” Gracing the event at the Forum of the Philippine International Convention Center were LiFEDATA technology partners Sun Cellular, PLDT, MyPhone, HTC, Acer, Neo, HP, and Bank of Philippine Islands.   More than 3,000 doctors who are members of the Philippine Academy of Family Practice Physicians (PAFP) registered for the event to use LiFEDATA’s electronic medical record (EMR) system in their respective clinics. This will modernize and provide them with a more efficient, secured, productive, paperless and borderless medical practice.

LiFEDATA EMR Clinic software is a web-based electronic medical records system for doctors, patients, healthcare institutions, and service providers. The software was awarded “Groundbreaking Technology of the Year” for Healthcare by DTI and CITEM at the E-Services Award ’08.   It manages the clinical, financial, and administrative functions of a healthcare organization; improves the quality of patient care and patient safety; and decreases the incidence of medical errors.   Together with a clinical workstation and data repository, EMR provides storage and access to encrypted patient health information (PHI) for healthcare entities in a highly secured, redundant, HIPAA-compliant system.
