Learning adventure at Tumble Tots
MANILA, Philippines - Kids do love the adventure of learning new things, especially when it involves exciting activities that develop their intelligence and character, and make the entire process an unforgettable experience.
Such is the rationale behind the various summer courses offered by UK-based international preschool Tumble Tots for children 1.6 to 6.5 years old.
Dubbed “Summer Passport to Adventure,” these courses run from April 12 to May 14 and start with Itsy Bitsy Explorer for 1.6 to 2.5-year-olds, who learn basic concepts seamlessly integrated in storytelling, painting, crafts, parent visits, and Smart Play, a brand of learning through fun activities.
There is also the Fun Phonics, with Level 1 for 2.6 to 3.5-year-olds, Level 2 for 3.6 to 4.5-year-olds, and Advance Phonics & Creative Writing for 4.6 to 6.5-year-olds. These courses offer an exciting adventure in Letterland, where Annie Apple and friends make letters come to life through songs, stories, arts and crafts, and games.
Level 1, according to Tumble Tots managing director Dyan Bian-Cortez, introduces children to the friendly letter characters so they’ll learn letter shape and sound correspondences.
“Level 2 builds on children’s literacy skills through mastery of letter sounds, writing letters and words, and reading simple words and short selections. Thus, children become confident and secure readers in no time at all,” says Cortez.
There is also the Discovery Camp, with Level 1 for 2.6 to 3.5-year-olds, and Level 2 for 3.6 to 4.5-year-olds. Another is the Advance Mathematics for 4.6 to 6.5-year-olds.
On the other hand, the Artists’ Studio for children four to eight years old stirs their imagination as they learn basic drawing, painting, sculpture, and crafts.
A unique course dubbed Futbol Funatics is also being offered for kids three to eight years old.
