Keeping baby safe and sound

-

MANILA, Philippines – A child’s safety is a top priority for every parent. When mom and dad need to leave the baby to attend to other home matters, it’s good to know that they can rely on a high-tech system that will help them keep tabs on their bundle of joy even when they are not around.

The Dect Baby Monitors from Philips Avent allow parents to monitor their child even when they are in other parts of the house. Effective and easy to use, these monitors provide parents with peace of mind — and added features ensure baby’s comfort as well.

The Philips AVENT Baby Monitors use the DECT technology, or Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications, which provides a secure and private connection ensuring that only the parents can hear their baby. The DECT automatically chooses an unused channel and switches as it detects another device using the same channel, thus guaranteeing zero interference from any other device.

The monitors also have a 300-meter range that ensures secure reception in and around the house, and the parent unit includes a belt clip that provides hands-free convenience and mobility. The parent unit is rechargeable and can provide a minimum of 24 hours of cordless monitoring; it also has link indicators that confirm a continuous connection between the monitor in the baby’s room and parent unit.

The in-room monitors have a soothing night light that gives out a soft glow which comforts the baby if he wakes up. It can play specially selected lullabies to soothe baby back to sleep. A talkback function also lets parents hear and talk to their baby from any part of the house.

Various models of the DECT Baby Monitor also have additional superior features. The SCD520 model is built with a temperature sensor that monitors the baby’s room for optimal comfort, and the personal temperature range settings alert parents when climate adjustment is needed. On the other hand, a humidity sensor allows the SCD530 model to monitor the correct humidity level, detecting dry air that may irritate the baby’s throat, and personalized settings help maintain a healthy, comfortable climate in the baby’s room. Both the SCD520 and the SCD530 also have an adjustable sound sensitivity function that allows parents to increase or decrease microphone sensitivity, enabling them to even hear their baby breathe.
