Makati Med inaugurates new Annex Building

-

MANILA, Philippines - Known as the “hospital with a heart,” the Makati Medical Center once again showed what truly caring for patients is all about with the inauguration of its new Annex Building. The modern, state-of-the-art facility underlines the institution’s commitment to providing top-of-the-line healthcare services and better addressing current medical challenges.

The event was simple yet meaningful, with some of the most influential people in the country coming to show their support for the hospital, led by Makati Med chairman Manuel V. Pangilinan. Guest of honor Makati City Mayor Jejomar Binay delivered the keynote address, while Makati Med’s incoming president Rose Montenegro, EVP/director for Professional Services Dr. Manuel Fernandez, and Makati Med medical director Dr. Benjamin Alimurung were on hand to welcome guests.

Also seen at the official opening of the Annex Building were Ayala Corporation’s Don Jaime Zobel de Ayala, DOT Usec. Cynthia Carreon, Ambassador Pieter Vermeulen of the South African Embassy, the American Embassy’s Cassy Ebert-Grey, BPI senior vice president and preferred banking head Imelda Trillo, Makati City Representative Abigail Binay, Makati Med board of directors member Judy Araneta Roxas, Makati councilors Kit Peña and Monique Lagdameo, Peachy Alimurung, and Elena Fernandez.

The program ended with a guided tour of the new facilities and a round of delicious cocktails, which guests enjoyed while listening to a performance by Rachel Alejandro.
