Reader's Digest presents 'Take Heart'

-

Our festive culture of social gatherings, traveling, and delicious food can wreak havoc on our health. Along with celebrations come overeating, emotional and physical stress, weight gain, lack of physical exercise, and lack of sleep. All this combined can have damaging effects especially on the heart.

Taking simple steps to remain active and live a healthy life can make a big difference. Reader’s Digest Philippines, in cooperation with The Medical City, Ensure, and Gold’s Gym, invites everyone on Feb. 21 at the Gabaldon Room of Club Filipino in Greenhills, San Juan from 1-5 p.m. The special event presents the country’s top cardiologists and medical experts who will share the latest findings and most practical knowledge on what we need to know about how to care for our heart.

Take Heart kicks off with an exciting fitness demo from Gold’s Gym that is sure to wake up the fitness buff in everyone. This will be followed by in-depth lectures on topics that include “Mind Your Heart and Live a Life” by Dr. Carlos Esguerra; “Advances in the Diagnosis and Treatment of Heart Attack” by Dr. Richard To, and “What to Do Before, During and After a Heart Attack” by Dr. Erric Cinco.

The Medical City doctors will also provide free consultations for all the participants. The first 50 to register will get a special gift from Reader’s Digest during the event.

Attendees should pre-register with Reader’s Digest until Feb. 20 at (632) 725 9001 to 02 or e-mail at May_Cortes@readersdigest.com.
