'Run for fun in Sun'
Over 200 Sun Cellular employees joined the first-ever “Run for Fun in Sun” held recently at the University of the Philippines in Diliman.
Despite the overcast skies and the daunting prospect of a somewhat grueling race, everyone was determined to reach the finish line.
Sun Cellular’s human resource division joined hands with the fun run’s main organizers, Run Rio, to make the Sun fun marathon happen. To ensure the safety of participants, a running clinic, a brief session imparting running tips and information on safety precautions, was organized two days before the event.
Sherry Sol San Pedro of the National Distributor Sales/National Sales Operations (NDS/NSO), Glorieta Zacate of the Network Engineering Operations (NEO), and Arlene Denzon of the Enterprise-Wide Risk Management Group (EWRMG) emerged winners in the 8.8, 4.4, and 2.2 events for women, respectively. Sherrywin Baquiran of the NEO, Anthony Cuevas of Administrative, Logistics and Purchasing (ALP) and Franco Bravo of corporate sales topped the 8.8, 4.4, and 2.2 events for men, respectively.
The fun run was held to show the dynamism and vitality that Sun Cellular has displayed throughout the years in the highly competitive telecom industry.
