Trade in an old TechnoMarine and help the Philippine Coast Guards
MANILA, Philippines - The men of the Philippine Coast Guard risk their lives to save those who are in distress at sea — even during the worst weather conditions.
They bravely risk their lives against the elements to ensure that every sea voyage is safe and secure from harm or threat.
Each time they expose themselves to toxic and hazardous substances to control and mitigate pollution of marine environment arising from either man-made or natural disaster — they risk their lives.
The Philippine Coast Guard has one mission: to promote safety of life and property at sea, safeguard marine environment and resources, enforce all applicable laws within the Philippine waters, and conduct maritime security operations and other activities in support of national development.
“Not so many people know that Coast Guard is a multi-mission maritime service, where its personnel also put their lives on the line in the performance of their respective duties,” said Lino Dabi, vice commandant for administration of the Philippine Cost Guard. “When he is not out at sea or in port facing the challenges of his profession, a coast guardian prepares himself to be ready and fit to perform his next assigned task and ensure the successful completion of the Philippine Coast Guard’s mission.”
With the increasing uncertainty of our weather conditions, the work, effort and judgment of the Philippine Coast Guard has never been more important.
It is unfortunate, however, that the Philippine Coast Guard does not receive the recognition that it deserves. In spite of this, however, they continue to exude a passion for their craft.
Embodying a similar mission and vision, TechnoMarine has partnered with the Philippine Coast Guard. This year, TechnoMarine introduces its boldest innovation in promotional activity to date: trade in an old TechnoMarine watch and level up to a new watch model.
Through this initiative TechnoMarine invites its consumers to join in and make difference while enjoying the perks of being a TechnoMarine patron. For one good turn deserves another — give your old TechnoMarine watch to the outstanding Coast Guard members of the Philippines, and in turn, TechnoMarine will give up to 40 percent off any new 2012 watch models. Non-functioning, authentic TechnoMarine watches are welcome to be traded (as long as the back case and mechanism are intact).
Collected watches will go to the Philippine Coast Guard.
With the TechnoMarine brand perfectly in tune with the sea, and its performance time-keeping being very current and relevant, the partnership with the Philippine Coast Guard looks like a very good match.
“The essence of time to any Coast Guardian pertains to how fast/prompt a response can be made to a particular situation,” said the vice commandant of the Philippine Coast Guard.
In essence, time is a unit of measurement between a situation and response. The shorter the time, the better the chances of a successful mission; the longer the wait, the higher the probability of a disaster.
The TechnoMarine Trade-Up promo is ongoing until Oct. 31.
