Samsung Galaxy S3: Made for humans

I told Vodka, my Bichon Frise, that she could not have a Galaxy S3 because it is made for humans. She was sitting next to me as I fiddled with the Samsung Galaxy S3.

“Humans?” Vodka gives me a quizzical look with her puppy eyes.

“Yes, I know you are human, deep inside,” I whisper to Vodka. “But that’s our secret.”

The Galaxy S3 is touted as a smartphone designed and built for humans. So, when Samsung launched its Samsung S3 a few months ago, the Korean manufacturer made sure that the S3 was not only good to look at, but that it worked seamlessly at the push of a button.

The presentation was fun to watch and getting to know Galaxy, the voice in the smartphone that takes requests for making calls, sending texts, checking out the weather and many other requests one makes, was interesting.

I must say I secretly wondered though if there ever will be a smartphone created with a man’s voice taking the commands.

Just a thought.

The reviews for the Galaxy S3 have been many and most of them very positive. One review called the Samsung Galaxy S3 the “it” gadget of the moment. Considering that there are lots of new smartphones on the market, it made me even more interested in trying out the many cool features of the Samsung Galaxy S3.

From my experience playing with a Samsung S3 recently, let me share with you 10 reasons why I think this smartphone rocks and why it might just be a good choice to make if you are looking to get a smartphone: 

10. Galaxy. Yes, the voice that takes the commands. Her voice is very soothing and she never gets tired of giving me the data, sending texts, and making the calls I ask her to.

9. State-of-the-heart design. The S3 is designed to capture our hearts, and a good-looking gadget normally does that for me.

8. Speed of connections. It makes downloads and page-loading quicker. Apps appear right after they are launched and its 2GB of RAM ensures that no matter how many apps are open at the same time, everything operates smoothly.

7. Touch-sensitive. I love that when the screen is locked, all I had to do was swipe it in any direction to unlock. Easy.

6. Screen size. Others might think that the 4.8-inch display is a little too big. But, when you’re looking at newly captured photos or watching a YouTube video, the screen seems just perfect. 

5. Super AMOLED display. As the standard for the Samsung smartphones, the screen display is always something to be admired. Not just for the size, but for the clarity of the photos and videos and even text messages received.

4. A longish battery life. And we all know how important having a battery that does not die on us in the middle of the night is.

3. Great for Google users. For anyone who uses lots of Google widgets, this is a perfect smartphone.  

2. Smart Stay. I like that the front camera has a sensor that can sense if you are looking at the display, and it will not dim at that time. 

1. It’s a Samsung. The Korean cell-phone manufacturer has created a loyal following over the past years because of the many innovative and high-quality cell phones and smartphones it has introduced. The Samsung Galaxy S3 is another one of Samsung’s devices that has captured the heart of its market.
