Sun does the power move at UST Cheermania 2012
MANILA, Philippines - Sun Cellular, the country’s leading telecommunications provider of call and text unlimited services, got their groove on with their full support of University of Santo Tomas’ “Cheermania 2012: A Saga Long for Conquest.” Now in its 17th year, “Cheermania” is an annual inter-collegiate cheerdance competition, wherein pep squads from UST’s different colleges thrill the crowd with their hip dance moves and breathtaking stunts. This year, the College of Commerce and Business Administration once again emerged as the champions for the third straight year in a row, winning over the College of Science, Faculty of Pharmacy, College of Tourism and Hospitality Management, Faculty of Engineering, and Faculty of Arts and Letters, College of Fine Arts and Design, and College of Nursing.
Sun Cellular also held the TU200 Power Move dance competition where five dancers from the different Cheermania teams performed a cheerdance routine using the TU200 Power Move. The dancers from the College of Commerce and Business Administration took home the crown, winning Samsung Galaxy Y handsets with TU200 call card loads each.
Sun Cellular also challenged the Thomasians to do the Sun TU200 Power Move. Inspired by Sun Cellular’s TU200 commercial, random students from the crowd were picked and taught the routine by Coach Vimmy Rivera. In the “Who’s Your TU200 Power Mover?“impromptu contest, two winners emerged from the 14 participants, namely: Kim Pitago and Richard Galang, who both took home Samsung Galaxy handsets with TU200 call card loads.
