Advertising executives find their eureka moment

-

MANILA, Philippines - Digital technology innovator Samsung paves the way for yet another ground breaking gadget that is touted to be a sure-fire hit in today’s mobile lifestyle.

The Samsung Galaxy Note is the first of its kind in the market that combines the powerful capabilities of a tablet and the practical qualities of a smart phone. With a sleek 5.3-inch Super AMOLED display and the latest advancement in pen-input technology, the S Pen, this latest twist in mobile communication brings a whole new approach on jotting down or capturing creative ideas instantly — something that today’s advertising executive creative directors find so appealing.

Executive creative directors Merlee Cruz-Jayme of DM9 Syfu, Brandie Tan of BBDO, Leigh Reyes of Lowe, and Raoul Panes of Leo Burnett attest to the Samsung Galaxy Notes’ convenient way of replacing the traditional pen-and-paper method of putting ideas together. And in the world of advertising, these “eureka moments” happen when least expected.

“A eureka moment is when what’s been in the back of your mind suddenly moves to the front,” says Leigh Reyes.

“Big ideas usually hit me in the middle of the night, that’s why I always have a pen and Post-It pad on my bedside table,” adds Merlee Cruz-Jayme.

“They say ideas come in the three B’s – bedroom, bathroom and bus. I’ve had ideas come in all three places,” Brandie Tan shares.

As they go about town thinking of the next award-winning advertising campaign, they all agree that Samsung Galaxy Note is the perfect companion with its amazing features in a size that is never a burden to carry around.

“It’s a do-it-all gadget,” observes Raoul Panes. “It’s most handy for people who are perpetually looking for and enhancing ideas. It gets you connected. You get to research. You get to craft. And you don’t have to strain your eyes to do those.”

What’s in a note?

The Galaxy Note runs on a 1.4GHz dual-core processor. Coupled with an expandable memory that goes up to 32GB, it boasts seamless operation for any kind of mobile phone user. Through the HSPA+, lightning connection speeds are also made possible for browsing even the heaviest of web pages. Topped with the expansive 5.3-inch Super AMOLED fulltouch screen and its 285ppi, taking photos and recording high-definition videos with the eight-megapixel camera, browsing the Internet, and multi-tasking between apps has never looked this good. At 178g, it is the first of its kind in the world—the biggest and the lightest, yet it is still a perfect fit for anyone’s pocket.

Samsung’s newest advancement in pen-input technology — the S Pen — accurately digitizes sketches and artworks and handwritten texts to truly modernize its users’ otherwise ordinary pen-and-paper existence regardless of his/her field of expertise.

“The S Memo is perfect for my random notes and doodles. I can put my notes on a compre print ad on the spot,” says Merlee.

Brandie couldn’t agree more. “I really like the S Memo. It takes the place of bringing around a notebook and looking for a pen,” he declares.

“The Samsung Galaxy Note was designed based on how consumers generate ideas. People usually take cues from their environment, formulate ideas, and capture them through pictures, designs, and so on. And, now, with the Galaxy Note’s S Pen input technology, eight-megapixel camera, 1.4 GHz dual-core processor, and HSPA+ Internet speeds, these ‘Eureka!’ moments will always be easily captured and even shared from anywhere and at anytime,” says Coco Domingo, Samsung product marketing group head for HHP.

It’s a fact that advertising; think tanks carry a big load on their shoulders that’s why they welcome any form of convenience that they can get. Combining business with a little bit of entertainment during their down time would be ideal, and Samsung Galaxy Note lets them enjoy the best of both worlds.

“Apart from making work easier, Samsung Galaxy Tab allows me to have instant access to my favorite applications such as Facebook, Twitter, Fousquare and, of course, my e-mails,” Brandie adds.

“One of small yet useful pleasures I get from Samsung Galaxy Note is that I can Google right away and download mp3s,” Marlee quips. “And maybe, just maybe, it’ll make me stop writing ideas on paper napkins and at the back of parking lot receipts.”
