Globe Business hosts 10th G-Tour for Enterprise clients

-

MANILA, Philippines- Globe Business hosted the 2011/G-Tour last April 15. Enterprise customers who are avid golfers trooped to the lush fairways of the Southwoods Golf & Country Club’s Legends Course in Carmona, Cavite for a day of enjoyment and friendly competition. G-Tour is one of the most awaited sporting events of Globe Business, attracting numerous customers representing Globe’s leading enterprise partners. It is the perfect venue for Globe executives, including CEO Ernest Cu, Globe Business head Gil Genio and Enterprise Segments head Jesus Romero, together with their valued clients to interact, network and connect with each other in a more relaxed and congenial setting.

The G-Tour adopted a four-man scramble with sliding tee-box format, designed to foster teamwork between the participants and balance the playing abilities of the various competing teams. To add more excitement to the event, several raffle prizes were also given away to all participating golfers, including Samsung Galaxy Tablets, Nokia N8 smart phones, 3G+WiFi iPads, Callaway Diablo Edge Iron Sets and a brand-new iMac. In line with Globe’s commitment to pursue corporate social causes, the tournament’s mulligan proceeds were donated to Children’s Hour, a non-profit fundraising and grant-giving organization that aims to improve the lives of Filipino children. The proceeds raised from 2011/G-Tour will allow the organization to provide aid to children in the areas of education, food, shelter, protection and total development.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary, this year’s tournament was better than ever according to golf enthusiast Rudy Fulo of Cargohaus, Inc. Fulo, who has never missed a G-Tour since it started in 2001, said, “Just when you think Globe cannot top what they previously did, the tournament actually improves and becomes more exciting each year.”

Six-time attendee Toto Magsuci of BA Continuum agrees. “I have enjoyed every single G-Tour that I’ve participated in, and I always end up making more friends here than any other tournament, even if they adopt similar game formats.”

Jesus Romero, Enterprise Segments head of Globe Business, presented the 2011/G-Tour championship honors to Ado Cuenca of Stellar Global, Jun San Juan of PhilamLife, Jerry Tan of HSBC and Paolo Wong of Globe. He also extended his appreciation to all the golfers for making the tournament an astounding success. “We at Globe Business have always been committed to building more meaningful relationships with our valued enterprise partners. We thank our customers not only for entrusting their communication requirements to Globe, but for allowing us to engage them in this friendly tournament as we strive to nurture partnerships and foster an overall sense of community and teamwork between our organizations.”
