Shiny new Macs
Next to the filing cabinets and bookmark stands between diary and pen displays you’ll find a slew of Macs nonchalantly perched on a table in the newly-inaugurated Work Station of National Book Store.
When it launched in the two-story space in Glorietta 5, a nondescript wood table housed several Macs, including the dreamy MacBook Air, and kids would lounge and play, posing for Photobooth pics or toy with iTunes.
Office supplies stack shelves, reams of paper and folders and organizers and everything in between. Furniture, like desks and chairs, are also available. One section is devoted to decorative storage, boxes made from native fibers or patterned cardboard boxes that make a pretty picture when lined on a shelf.
Office equipment is the main draw as Work Station differentiates itself by offering tech tools like scanners, printers and the like. But its the flashy Apple products that really make the shop a standout.
“National Book Store’s Work Station carries the full line of Apple products including MacBooks, iMacs, iPods and accessories,” says National Book Store regional manager Trina Alindogan. “We basically have everything including the new MacBook Air and the latest iPods. And needless to say, we are very excited about Apple products.”
Judging from the number of people crowded around anything with an Apple logo, she’s not the only one.
