PLDT-SME Nation launch myDSL Biz

MANILA, Philippines - PLDT-SME Nation recently transformed the metro’s most happening venue into Halloween town complete with a hodgepodge of Philippine folklore’s scariest creatures for the grand re-launch of its “nakakakilabot sa bilis” PLDT myDSL Biz.

More than a thousand guests turned up in their spookiest manananggal, kapre, duwende, and white lady costumes and filled up the massive venue. The guests were no less than Metro Manila’s small and medium business owners who went to party with the country’s leading provider of broadband internet access.

Event hosts Joey Mead and Borgy Manotoc both came garbed in their most wicked Halloween getups. Cemetery tombstones, spooky dining sets, and haunted forests, meanwhile, served as the backdrop for computer stations where guests could try myDSL Biz hands-on.

The highlight of the night, though, was the plugging in of a larger-than-life model of the PLDT myDSL Biz Box by no less than PLDT chairman Manny V. Pangilinan and PLDT president and Smart CEO Napoleon Nazareno.

Endless prizes were raffled off while SMEs got a chance to take home and experience the high-speed offering of the myDSL Biz. One-year free subscription Powerpack packages were given away to six lucky SMEs complete with the bundled desktops and laptops.

Creative Media and Film Society of the Philippines (CreaM) president Imee Marcos was also on hand to hand out the awards to the entries in the Film, Fashion, and Graphic Animation categories depicting the Pinoy culture going digitally global with PLDT myDSL Biz. Bagging first place in the Best Horror Film category was Nico Fernandez with his film entry Iniwan while Mike Galvez topped the Graphic Design competition with “Online Mangkukulam.”

The PLDT myDSL Biz packages come with high-speed internet connection and peripheral hardware like PCs and a laptop. Along with the package is the new Biz Box, an all-in-one modem device that provides broadband link for any SME’s wired and wirelss networking application needs.
