Samsung unveils latest Star
MANILA, Philippines – Samsung Mobile, the leading brand known for its continuous innovation in mobile phones, recently unveiled the most affordable full-featured Touch Screen phone to date, the Samsung S5233 also known as Samsung Star.
Set at the newest Samsung Style Concept store located at the fourth floor of the new Eastwood Mall, mall lovers were dazzled with the magical performance of Ron Mariano where he incorporated in his magical act the various exciting features of the Samsung Star. Theater actress Aryn Cristobal hosted the festivities of the night while teen stars Maja Salvador, Rayver Cruz, Myx VJ Drei Felix and fashion maverick Ino Caluza joined Samsung executives Fe Varilla, Coco Domingo, Mylene Gabriel, Stef Chua, Raine Javalera and Odette Velarde welcome the Samsung Star .
The Samsung Star comes with the latest multimedia features in a slim and compact body that measures a mere 11.9 mm. Adopting a 3.0-inch TFT full-touch screen and Samsung’s TouchWiz User Interface with Mobile Widgets, the phone enables its users to enjoy their mobile easily and intuitively.
The Samsung Star even boasts of a 3.2 mega-pixel camera and video recording supporting QVGA at 15fps. It further supports multi-format music files and plays them back via DNSe technology for an enhanced virtual 3d sound experience. The phone also features music recognition using Shazam’s “Find Music” service, so knowing the latest tunes are right at your finger tips.
To enjoy various multimedia content , Samsung Star supports an 88MB memory capacity with an external memory slot via micro SD. Users can enjoy full Internet browsing with an accelerometer sensor for auto-rotation. For convenience, the phone also supports a QWERTY soft keyboard and handwriting features. Thru the Gesture Lock feature, the phone will automatically unlock or go to various pre-assigned applications like contacts, messages by drawing a pre-assigned letter on the locked screen. Using “Photo Contact,” users can call a contact by simply touching an appointed image.
The Samsung Star retails at P10,490 and is available in all authorized Samsung Mobile dealers nationwide.
