From no mail to e-mail in three steps
MANILA, Philippines – Discover the convenience of e-mail messaging on your Nokia device. With mobile e-mail, you can compose longer messages plus attach files like images, video clips and sound clips. As one of the most popular applications on the phone, it helps in keeping you in touch with information and connecting you with people — whether you’re in transit, in the bathroom, while in the airport, or away from a computer.
A recent survey of mobile phone users shows that there are more young adults now who check their e-mail using their mobile phone, with some of them agreeing that it’s helped them get more done each day. And with cheaper service rates, more and more people have seen the convenience that mobile e-mail brings.
THE E-MAIL CONNECTION
“Globe offers P5 for 15 minutes while Smart and Sun charge P10 for 30 minutes. That’s enough time to quickly download e-mail from your existing e-mail addresses. Better yet, you can open a new e-mail account from Ovi by Nokia — a free, easy-to-use e-mail system that can be accessed straight from your Nokia phone or over the web,” says William Hamilton-Whyte, General Manager, Nokia Philippines. With single SMS sending rates reaching up to P30 and voice rates that range from P80 to P100 depending on an international region, it’s relatively cheaper to use mobile e-mail to get in touch with friends and family in places like the Middle East, US, Australia, or Europe.
Fortunately, you don’t need to fork over a large wad of cash to be able to get a mobile phone that lets you check e-mail. “Nokia has been at the forefront of mobile e-mail. We have consistently been introducing products that answer the growing need of consumers who are both price-conscious and have a need to access their e-mail accounts anywhere, anytime,” adds Hamilton-Whyte.
These recession-friendly mobile phones include S40 devices like the Nokia 2680 slide, Nokia 5000, Nokia 7210 Supernova and the soon to come Nokia 2330 classic.
It only takes three easy steps to set-up one’s e-mail using the phones. To start, go to Menu and look for the Messaging application. Select E-mail and type in your E-mail address and Password.
Go to www.mail.ovi.com to open an Ovi Mail e-mail account where you an enjoy 1GB worth of storage space with spam filters and virus protection.
