Last day to dine: Sofitel's popular buffet Spiral closes July 1
MANILA, Philippines — The popular international buffet of Sofitel, Spiral, is welcoming foodies and the public for the last time today as it bids adieu to its loyal patrons.
In a Facebook post, Spiral posted the notice of its last day of operations.
"With a mix of gratitude and sadness, we would like to inform you that Spiral is set to embark on its final culinary journey tomorrow, June 30, 2024.
"Your laughter, your conversations, and your delight in our culinary adventures have filled Spiral with life and joy. Our deepest thanks to our master culinary artisans whose creativity and passion brought each dish to life. Their dedication made us a place of extraordinary gastronomic adventure and joy.
"The metro's most interactive dining destination now bids adieu," the Facebook post read.
Spiral is popular for its international buffet spread that features 21 dedicated stations called dining ateliers. These serve Asian and European fare, as well as stations that feature popular dishes such as Sushi and Sashimi, Peking Duck, Churrasco, Pastries, Chocolate Fountain and Desserts, Ice Cream and Gelato, and the L'Epicerie or the Cheese Room.
It is located inside Sofitel Hotel in Pasay City. News of the hotel ceasing operations broke last May, citing safety issues.
