Kamala loves Lumpia: US Vice President Harris shares how she came to love Pinoy food
MANILA, Philippines — US Vice President Kamala Harris revealed that she loves Filipino Lumpia (fried spring rolls) during her meeting with Vice President Sara Duterte-Carpio yesterday.
“I love Lumpia, too,” Harris said.
“I have lots — all the time, in ever — I have many people working in my office who are Filipino-American, so whenever we have holiday parties, there is a big table of [Lumpia],” she added.
The two vice presidents shared a light moment talking about food, where Duterte-Carpio also recommended Harris to try other Filipino food such as Kare-Kare, Adobo and Lechon.
Harris arrived last Sunday, November 20. She also met with President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. yesterday for a bilateral meeting. She is scheduled to visit Palawan today.
