Philippines's oldest distillery names wine after Imelda Marcos
According to the official page of Bongbong Marcos, Imeldifique will soon be available in leading supermarkets and specialty stores.
The oldest distillery in the country is now tapping fruits of the Northern Philippines to bring new flavors in the wine industry. Also unveiled during the launch were two other wines from Ilocos: the Vigan Basi, a Philippine traditional sugar cane wine, and the Dragon Fire, which is made from dragon fruit.
Olivia Limpe-Aw, President of Destileria Limtuaco & Co., said on an interview with ANC that the new flavors aim to "celebrate our indigenous, tropical fruits and produce that are endemic to the Philippines."
