What’s on the Menu for Christmas? Afternoon tea for Christmas at Raffles and Fairmont Makati

MANILA, Philippines - Raffles and Fairmont Makati offers Christmas afternoon tea until Dec. 25 at the Writers Bar. Dine on an assortment of Yuletide-themed pastries, mini sandwiches and freshly baked scones.  Afternoon Tea is available daily from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. for P1,222  for two persons. Guests may opt to add a glass of Champagne for P1,106  per person. On Sundays in December, children can join the Teddy Bear Afternoon Tea at the Fairmont Lounge. From 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. spend a Sunday afternoon with stuffed bears, savoring a buffet of teddy bear-themed treats and be serenaded by carolers and visited by Santa Claus. Teddy Bear Afternoon Tea is available on Dec. 1, 8, 15 and 22 for P1,044 per person. On Dec. 14, from 2 to 5 p.m., the Fairmont Makati Ballroom will be transformed into a whimsical workshop where guests can decorate gingerbread homes with sugar baubles, Christmas cookies, and an assortment of brightly hued frostings. For P925 per person, receive a gingerbread house and a sugary array of candy trimmings.  Part of the proceeds of this fun activity will go to Tuloy Foundation.

Holiday feast at Traders Hotel Manila

Traders Hotel, Manila offers a Christmas feast ongoing until Jan. 15, 2014. There is a Christmas buffet at Latitude’s “Delish Red-velry” for only P888 net for lunch and P988 net for dinner with one complimentary buffet for every group of six, except on blackout dates.

Featured dishes include Thai beef or chicken and mango salad, spicy sausage salad and mixed greens with fresh fruits dressed in Caesar, Thousand Island or Italian vinaigrette. Also offered are prawns, red wine mignonette and mussels served with pineapple salsa and American cocktail sauce.  There is a selection of cakes and pastries such as cheesecake, mocha cake, tiramisu, orange creme brulée, pandan coconut jelly, mango mousse, chocolate panna cotta, bread and butter pudding and imported chocolate fondue and churros tossed in cinnamon sugar.
