Master class in wine at the Marriott Hotel
MANILA, Philippines -“The best way to learn about wine is by drinking,†said wine writer Alexis Lichine.
In keeping with this sentiment, this year’s most illustrious wine event, “The 13th Grand Wine Experience: Masterclass†gathers epicureans, bon vivants, and pleasure seekers in an environment not only conducive to tasting, matching and exploring, but also learning about this favorite libation.
This year’s theme, Masterclass, not only aims to raise the bar on quality yet again but also elevate an already stellar wine dining experience by supplementing it with an educational component. A wine master class is a tasting course strongly focused on helping you gain more knowledge about all aspects of wine and its culture to enhance your appreciation. The 13th edition of Grand Wine will give you the opportunity to be guided in the principles of food pairing, understand more deeply the distinctive characteristics of different grape varieties, and ultimately help you make better, more informed choices.
Some might be intimidated by the seemingly steep learning curve and pretentiousness commonly associated with wine. The speakers hope to dispel those ideas by showing the public that learning about wine can be fun, easy and approachable. They will craft an experience that will be at once enlightening, engaging and more enjoyable.
Highly acclaimed winemakers from top international vineyards will serve as professors. Courses will include over 500 of the world’s most celebrated wines and spirits, and a jaw-dropping buffet assiduously crafted by only the most gifted chefs.
The master class begins at 5 p.m. onwards on Friday, Nov. 15, at The Grand Ballroom of the Marriott Hotel Manila, Resorts World Manila. Business attire is recommended.
