MANILA, Philippines -Mandarin Oriental, Manila’s theme is “Fan a Message to Mom” for Mother’s Day. On May 12 Ilonggo dishes are available at Paseo Uno on the last day of the food festival “Flavors of the Visayas” featuring guest chef Pauline Gorriceta-Banusing. Indulge in dishes such as adios, baboy at langka, lukon na may aligue kag paho, or fresh Aklan prawns with crab fat in garlic and scallions and a batchoy station. The Paseo Uno Mother’s Day lunch buffet is priced at P2,450+. Tin Hau offers set menus that start at P1,888+ per person.

All moms who dine at Paseo Uno or Tin Hau on May 12 will receive a complimentary limited-edition Mandarin Oriental fan, on which loved ones can write special dedications. Two exclusive flower-arranging classes by the hotel’s expert florist will be held at 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., and are complimentary for one person for a group of four diners paying lunch buffet in Paseo Uno, and set menus in Tin Hau. A P1,500 surcharge will apply for every additional enrollee. The Mother’s Day room package, available on all weekends in May, starts at P7,700+ inclusive of international buffet breakfast for two, complimentary second room or night (room only), complimentary local calls and P500 credit to be used at The Spa or any of the hotel’s restaurants.  At the MO Lounge a Mother’s Day tree is expected to bloom with many loving fan cards to mothers. At stake in a Facebook contest is a two-night stay in a Club Suite with breakfast for up to two adults and two children, and five gold-plated silver pendants from Jul B. Dizon Jewellery for the “messages to mom” with the most “likes.” The notes should complete the sentence “Mom, you may not know it, but…” on a fan-shaped card that will be hung on the Mother’s Day tree. Moms dine for free at Eastwood Richmonde Hotel

Eastwood Richmonde Hotel offers all-day dining at the Eastwood Café on May 11 and 12. Eastwood Café’s Mother’s Day Buffet includes appetizers, delectable main dish selections, oriental favorites like Mongolian barbecue, Japanese tempura, dim sum and crispy pork lechon at the carving station. ‘I love Mom’ room packages at Acacia Hotel

Acacia Hotel Manila offers its “I Love Mom” room package, valid from May 10 to 12. Fashion show at Sofitel Philippine Plaza
