Wine Story offers AWSEC courses
MANILA, Philippines - Through its subsidiary Asia Wine Service & Education Centre (AWSEC), Wine Story at Shangri-La Plaza Mall, Mandaluyong City will be the venue for the WSET Level 1 introductory course. Slated on Sept. 15, the Level 1 Award in wine service will focus on the art of wine service and include the development of practical skills in a restaurant setting. The introductory course will delve into proper storage and serving of wines, food and wine pairings, and discuss wine styles in a structured approach.
Stephen Mack, CEO of the Asia Wine Service & Education Centre (AWSEC), premier provider of wine courses in Asia, which has long been at the forefront of training wine enthusiasts and professionals in Asia, will be the instructor.
Wine enthusiasts who desire to get a good grounding on Bordeaux wines and would like an official certificate issued by the Bordeaux L’Ecole du Vin, may sign up now for Bordeaux in Two Hours, also on Sept. 15.
The WSET Level 3 Award in Wines and Spirits (formerly called the Advanced Certificate in Wines and Spirits) is slated from Nov. 17, 18, 24 and 25 at Wine Story-Shangri-La Plaza Mall. The entire 14-lesson course brings into focus more than 85 wines that include prestigious vintages. Although there is no prerequisite to attend the Advanced Certificate course, the latter is highly suited for individuals who have attended the Intermediate Certificate course or have equivalent exposure.
