- The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Y -Tree recently opened its first branch at The Hub, the latest dining spot on Mayflower Street in Greenfield District, Mandaluyong City.

Y-Tree, The Milk Tea Hub, opened last June 12 with a grand milk tea treat for all its invitees led by TV host and talent manager Boy Abunda.

Abunda, together with Jeffrey Campos, chairman of Greenfield Development Corporation, snipped the ceremonial ribbon before a well-heeled crowd. The blessing was officiated by Fr. Dominador “Donnie” Guzman SSP.

“Drinking milk tea is healthy and highly habit-forming,” said Roberto Castaneda, president and CEO of Y-Tree Corporation. “Y-Tree is a refreshing addition to your daily diet. It is also a perfect, cozy place to hang out with family, friends, officemates and even business associates while enjoying refreshing watermelon tea or taro milk tea.”

Special mixes include Y-Tree haka milk tea, milk tea with pearl jelly, milk tea with herbal jelly, honeydew milk tea with mango and pearl, Earl Gray milk tea, milk tea green tea, chocolate milk tea, banana milk tea, strawberry milk tea, caramel milk tea, vanilla milk tea, wintermelon with signature rock salt and cheese, yogurt green tea with hantien jelly Yakult green tea with hantien jelly, lychee green tea and lychee coco.

Y-Tee serves more than 30 milk tea flavors with your pick of sinkers to add texture to your drink — rock salt, pearl jelly, grass jelly, hantien jelly, boba lychee and lychee coco.

At the opening of Y-Tree recently are Raffy Florencio, chairman, Y-Tree Milk Corp. and Robert Castaneda, CEO and president, Y-Tree Milk Corp. Y-Tree is on Mayflower street, Greenfield District, Mandaluyong.

The store prides itself on using real tea leaves in all its milk teas as well as having the chewiest black pearls in town. The classic milk tea with pearl jelly is a must-try for newcomers, with its smooth, intense flavor and generous serving of gooey pearls.

The reasonably price teas come in large size only, so it’s best value for money.

The store, designed by architect John Tan with Castaneda, offers a modern, sleek, elegant and yet surprisingly laid-back ambience. The stylish décor with white, green, gray and bronze hues accent the comfy couches that make you feel at home.

Cakes and pastries also include red velvet, blueberry cheesecake, carrot cake, chocolate cake and mango cake, to name a few.

By August Y-Tree will be open to franchising.
